CASE NOTES. Filed by Nurse Marguerite LaRoux, Records.
Destination: Hallowe'en night, 1962. The Grange hall, Salem, Massachusetts. First expedition by the time dial. The Lab set down behind the hall at dusk, disguised as a hay barn. The horses were not fooled.
Subjects: members of the local Ladies' Auxiliary chapter, plus a great many visiting members from all over the country who had heard there would be punch. Every one a grown woman. Every one signed Form 18-B at the door. Costumes as observed: witches, cat-women, pirates, a ringmaster, several Cleopatras and one mummy (unravelling).
Conditions: Wallflower Field on from the first dance. Costumes got smaller as the night went on. Nobody at the punch bowl noticed.
Incidents: one sprained ankle, two apple-bobbing incidents, one tail caught in a door (Nurse Dolores attending). The punch bowl was found to have been improved. Source unknown.
Photographers: see each slide. Several rolls are logged to Orderly Gus, who was aboard all night minding the dial. I asked him about it. He said, "Nice dance," and went back to sweeping.
Status: rolls are still coming out of the tank. More slides to follow.
